Commercial Properties Are Not Protected From A Water Damage

Most times when we hear of water damage we automatically think of residential properties. We envision broken sink pipes, leaking AC units, kids leaving the faucet running in the bathtub or even pets turning the tap on. However, commercial properties can be just as prone as residences.
Last month, SERVPRO of South Orange County was called upon to a water damage in a commercial building. The employees were gone for the weekend and returned on Monday to a significant amount of standing water in every office. The source was quickly identified as a broken water heater and water to the entire facility had to be shut off. We were onsite within an hour and began to work immediately in an effort to get the business up and running with minimal downtime. Given that they were just returning from being under lockdown due to the pandemic, time was of the essence.
In the end, SERVPRO of South Orange County was able to save all the affected materials and dried all the wet areas. We had to perform double extraction and even worked alongside the employees to move contents to a non-affected area while the air movers and dehumidifiers were placed. Drying was completed in less than four days and they were ready for minimal repairs thereafter.
When your business falls victim to an unexpected water damage, rest assured you can always rely on SERVPRO of South Orange County to get you back to normal operations.
